The commentary about the connection between the Haftarah and Torah reading was written by

Leviticus Chapter 25, Verse 10:
10 And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout the land unto all the inhabitants thereof; it shall be a jubilee unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family
Jeremiah 32:15
15 For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Houses and fields and vineyards shall yet again be bought in this land.'

The Jubilee year may just be an ideal state which never really happened. This was a dream of liberty and justice for all; everyone returning to reclaim their homes and fields. After the fall of Solomon’s Temple, Jeremiah expressed the hope that one day there would be a chance to purchase houses, fields and vineyards again in the Land of Israel. Could that the Jubilee dream, be fulfilled in the modern era?
